SUMMARY:Comprehensive Plan - Joint Meeting
DESCRIPTION:As one of our first steps in developing our town’s new Compre
 hensive Plan\, the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee would like to inv
 ite all Town Board and Planning Board members to a joint meeting on June 2
 7\, 2017 at 6:30 at the Library for an informal discussion.  This will be
  an informal meeting and facilitated by our consultant Nan Stolzenburg.  
 Our committee has developed a set of questions we hope we can discuss.  T
 he purpose of this meeting is to learn more about the issues and opportuni
 ties you see for the Town of Hunter from your local government perspective
 .  We hope all members of both boards can join us.  We plan on leaving 1
 0 minutes at the end of the meeting for public comment or questions.\n\nWe
  consider this meeting as a great start to our project by promoting the sh
 aring of information to uncover the needs and challenges in Town.  To pre
 pare you for this meeting\, the following topics will be discussed.\n\n 	S
 hort and long-term needs of the community.\n 	Challenges and issues facing
  the Town.\n 	Issues your particular Board faces and tools you have to sol
 ve them.\n 	Business climate in Town.\n 	Status of current land use laws a
 nd need for additional ones.\n 	Infrastructure needs in the Town.\n\nThe C
 omprehensive Plan will guide Hunter for the next 10 to 15 years. Successfu
 l development and implementation of the plan relies upon lots of community
  input. We hope you will join us for this important meeting so that we can
  fully understand the issues and opportunities you feel are important.
